He has lectured internationally on the Discipline as well as published many research papers and articles in professional journals. In addition, Dr. Alexander has written a textbook, "The Alexander Discipline", which has been translated into several languages. In addition to his traveling and teaching, he continues to maintain a busy private practice in Arlington where he lives with his wife, Janna. Dr. Alexander is recognized internationally for his innovation in orthodontic procedures. He is well known for his work in designing the Alexander Discipline, a system of Brackets (called Alexander Signature Line) placed on teeth, which is used by orthodontists around the world. Dr. Alexander lectures internationally on the Discipline.
Course topics:

Day1: • 15 KEYS TO ORTHODONTIC SUCCESS – (A New Approach to Diagnose & Treatment Plan – “Tetragon Plus”)- ? day

What differentiates the Alexander Discipline from the other techniques in orthodontics? By combining proven mechanics with modern technology, the final results can stand the “test of time”….long term stability.

Four specific factors make this technique different from all the others:

•  Unique bracket selection and prescription

•  Specific archforms that help place the teeth in stable positions.

•  Treatment mechanics that include 14 steps created and/or popularized by this technique.

•  Evidence based research – no technique has been studied as

extensively to show such long term stability.

In order to produce these results on a routine basis, 15 Keys to Success in Diagnosis have been established. These goals will be presented in a TEMPLATE which will provide a simple evaluation of particular cephalometric, panoramic, study model, and photographic results. To consistently produce high quality results in a busy practice, emphasis is also placed on Efficiency. A template will be shown summarizing appointments that will demonstrate the “KISS” Principle…………...

“Keeping it simple”. Case presentations will put it all together.

A SYNOPSIS OF THE ALEXANDER DISCIPLINE – Overview of the Alexander Discipline – ? day

What makes the Alexander Discipline one of the most recognized techniques in orthodontics? By combining proven mechanics with modern technology, the final results can stand the “test of time”….long term stability.

Four specific factors make this technique different from all the others:

•  Unique bracket selection and prescription

•  Specific archforms that help place the teeth in stable positions.

•  Treatment mechanics that include 14 steps created and/or popularized by this technique.

In order to produce these results on a routine basis, 15 Keys to Success have been established. These goals will be presented in a TEMPLATE which will provide a simple evaluation of particular cephalometric, panoramic, study model, and photographic results.

In addition to quality results, emphasis is also placed on Efficiency. A template will be shown summarizing appointments that will demonstrate the “KISS” Principle….Keeping it simple.

Day 2& ? of Day3. CLASS III MALOCCLUSION – A Realistic Approach to Class III Treatment

One of the most challenging dilemma faced by orthodontists is the treatment of Class III skeletal patterns. Although maxillofacial surgery may be required to treat specific cases, the presentation will also include non – surgical treatment in both growing and non – growing patients.

After years of trial and error, a systematic approach has been developed to address the treatment of these unusual skeletal types. This course will demonstrate step-by-step procedures used to resolve these malocclusions.

TOPICS INCLUDE :

  1. Introduction
    • Differential Diagnosis
    • Special Bracket Placeme
    • Special Orthopedic Forces
    • Specific Elastic Attachment
    • Retention and Stability

Day 3=1\2 day of wirebending exercises--- (We will send the instruments needed list and the list of materials in a separate email)
